International Travel Grant Scheme

The “International Travel Grant Scheme” has been launched by the Science and Technology (Information Technology) Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The scheme aims to provide financial support to scientists and researchers for international participation in science and technology related events. The scheme is implemented by the M.P. Council of Science & Technology (MPCST), Bhopal.

Nature of Benefits

• Financial assistance for international air travel (economy class).
• Partial reimbursement of registration fees for international events.
• Coverage includes domestic travel connected with international journey.

Monetary Benefits

• Maximum assistance up to ₹40,000 per applicant.
• Assistance is limited to 50% of travel fare and/or 50% of registration fee, subject to an overall ceiling of ₹40,000.

Conditions Associated With Benefits

• Only one author per paper is eligible, preferably the first author.
• Maximum 3 candidates may be supported for a single international event.
• Assistance is reimbursed only after return to India.

Mode of Disbursement

• Reimbursement through electronic bank transfer to the applicant’s bank account.

Frequency of Disbursement

• One-time assistance per approved international event.
• Assistance is valid only for the approved event and sanctioned travel period.

1. The applicant should be an employee of a recognized institution located in Madhya Pradesh.
2. The applicant should be a research scholar with at least 2 years of research experience.
3. The applicant should be affiliated with an institution recognized by a state or central authority.
4. The applicant should have received an official invitation or acceptance for participation.
5. The applicant should apply through the Head of the Institution.
6. The applicant should present research relevant to the development of Madhya Pradesh.
7. The applicant should not have availed MPCST International Travel Grant during the last 3 years.

Offline

Step 1: The interested applicant downloads the application form from the official website.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 3: A duly filled and signed application form along with the documents addressed to:

• The applicant should apply through the Head of the Institution.
• The applicant should submit the application at least 2 months before travel.
• Incomplete applications are not eligible for consideration.
• Post-visit documents are submitted within 1 month of return.
