योजनेविषयी
The "Indira Gandhi Sukh Shiksha Yojana under" the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Himachal Pradesh, aims to provide financial assistance to children of widows, destitute or abandoned women, and persons with disabilities whose annual family income from all sources does not exceed ₹1,00,000, to support their education.
लाभ
- (0-18 Years) Financial Assistance of ₹ 1,000 per month per child.
- (18-27 Years) The Government will bear the educational expenses incurred after admission to any Graduate/Postgraduate Degree or Diploma Course, PhD, JBT, NTT, Nursing, or any other professional educational course in Government educational institutions, universities, or colleges situated within the State of Himachal Pradesh.
- Hostel fees and mess charges (where the hostel is operated by a Government institution) for eligible children aged 18-27 years shall also be borne by the State Government.
- If hostel facilities are not available in the institution, Rent/PG Charges/House Rent of ₹3,000 per month shall be provided.

Sign-Up Process for First-Time Users – HimSeva Portal
Step 1: Visit the HimSeva Portal.
Step 2: If you are a first-time user, click on “Citizen Login.”
Step 3: Scroll down and click on “New User Sign Up for Citizen Login.”
Step 4: Select any one of the available options: Aadhaar Number, Him Pariwar ID, Him Member ID, or Ration Card.
Step 5: If you select Aadhaar Number, enter your Aadhaar number and click on “Consent for Aadhaar KYC.”
Step 6: Click on “Get OTP” and enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
Step 7: Complete the registration process. You can now log in to the HimSeva Portal and access the available services and schemes.
How to Apply for a Scheme
Step 1: Visit the HimSeva Portal and select the scheme you want to apply for.
Step 2: Log in using HimAccess ID, Mobile, or Other option.
Step 3: Fill in the required basic details and upload the necessary documents.
Step 4: Read the terms and conditions carefully and fill all mandatory (*) fields.
Step 5: Review and submit the application form.
Step 6: Download the confirmation receipt for future reference.

- Detail proof of expenses clearly verified by Head of Institution
- Proof of Divorce, if applicable
- Report of concerned BDO/EO Municipal Committee/Nagar Panchayat/Commissioner/Joint Commissioner of MC declaring the woman destitute and abandoned
