Government Guest House Scheme for Tourists

The scheme "Government Guest House Scheme for Tourists" is implemented under the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, as part of Tourism Policy 2020. It aims to provide tourists with unique staying experiences in government guest houses located at scenic locations with natural habitats across the State. The scheme offers government guest houses belonging to the Water Resources Department, Public Works Department, and Forest Department to tourists at affordable prices. It provides diverse accommodation options through eco-friendly stays while supporting preservation of ecosystems and biodiversity. The scheme also promotes rural life, indigenous arts, crafts and culture and enhances employment opportunities.

• Government Guest House Accommodation: Tourists can avail budgeted lodging at scenic and eco-tourism destinations. - Accommodation Facilities: Hygienic air-conditioned or ventilated rooms with other property-wise amenities are available. - Affordable Accommodation: Government guest houses are offered to tourists at affordable prices. - Day Use Facility: Rooms may be offered for up to 8 hours from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM at 50% of the prevailing tariff, subject to availability. - Early Check-In/Late Check-Out: Up to 2 hours may be permitted; any further period attracts payment of 20% of the room tariff, subject to availability. - Booking Extension: Booking extension is permitted on payment of 100% advance and subject to room availability. - Additional Services: Kitchen, laundry, dry cleaning, sightseeing, travel ticket booking and transport services may be available on full payment. - Eco-Tourism Experience: The scheme provides accommodation at scenic locations with natural habitats. - Rural and Cultural Experience: The scheme promotes rural life and indigenous arts, crafts and culture of Rajasthan.
  

• The applicant must be a tourist or guest seeking accommodation in a government guest house covered under the scheme.
• The applicant must make a booking request for self or on behalf of another person.
• The applicant must make 100% advance payment along with applicable taxes as per Government policy.
• The applicant must provide correct booking details.
• The applicant must produce the payment receipt and photo identity proof at the time of check-in.
• The applicant must comply with the booking, accommodation and cancellation terms and conditions of the concerned property.
• The applicant must obtain booking confirmation from the concerned Department where confirmation is required.
• Accommodation is subject to availability of rooms.

Offline

Step 1: The applicant must submit a booking request to the concerned Government Department or accommodation unit.
Step 2: For Water Resources Department guest houses, bookings are accepted through email by the concerned office of the Executive Engineer of the Department or accommodation unit.
Step 3: The concerned Department confirms the booking subject to availability.
Step 4: The confirmation is mailed to the applicant at the given email address.
Step 5: The applicant must make 100% advance payment through electronic mode.
Step 6: The applicant must preserve the payment receipt and email confirmation.
Step 7: The applicant must produce the payment receipt and photo identity proof at the time of arrival.
Step 8: The Manager or Unit In-Charge allots the room according to the booking and availability.

1. Photo Identity Proof: Passport, Voter Identity Card, Permanent Account Number Card, Driving License, Aadhaar Card or another accepted photo identity card.
   1. Payment Receipt: Proof of 100% advance payment.
   2. Booking Confirmation: Email confirmation received from the concerned Department.
   3. Booking Details: Correct details furnished while making the booking request.
