Fish Development Programme

The scheme "Fish Development Programme" implemented by the Tribal Area Development Department, Government of Rajasthan aims to enhance fish production through providing subsidies, training, and technical support to tribal beneficiaries. It supports fisheries activities in reservoirs and promotes self-employment. The scheme is funded by centre.

• First Year Subsidy: Provision of 100% subsidy for the reservoir lease amount and fish seed collection costs. - Second Year Equipment Subsidy: Provision of 100% subsidy for boats and nets to facilitate efficient fishing. - Fish Seed Subsidy: Provision of 50% subsidy on the cost of fish seeds during the second year of the project. - Marketing Support: Provision of bicycles equipped with ice boxes to assist beneficiaries in the effective marketing of fish. - Insurance Coverage: Provision of insurance facilities specifically for the fishermen involved in the project. - Technical Assistance: Provision of technical support for scientific methods to increase fish production, hunting, and marketing.
  

• Targeted Beneficiary: Tribal people of the Tribal Sub-Plan area. - Eligibility: Local tribal woman/ man.

Step 1: The applicant should prepare the application proposal through the Gram Panchayat.
Step 2: The applicant should include reservoir details and a list of eligible beneficiaries in the prescribed format.
Step 3: The applicant should submit the application to the Regional/ Assistant Manager's Office of Rajasthan Tribal Area Development Cooperative Federation.
Step 4: The proposal is forwarded through the Gram Sabha for approval.
