Mahila Vikas Protsahan Yojanan- Himachal Pradesh

Mahila Vikas Protsahan Yojana, under the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Himachal Pradesh, was introduced in 2013 to recognize and encourage individuals and organizations working towards the development and empowerment of women in the State. The scheme recognizes contributions in the fields of education, health, sports, social services, and art and culture. The award is based on contributions towards women’s development and empowerment over the last five years and is not intended for individual excellence alone. Bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh who have attained 18 years of age are eligible. Nominations are recommended by the Deputy Commissioner of the concerned district.

As per the scheme norms the award will consist of ₹ 21,000/- to ₹ 1,00,000/- was announced by the Hon'ble CM during International Women's Day function on 06.03.2023 in the presence of Hon'ble Minister SJ&E and Worthy Secretary (SJ&E) to the Govt. of HP.

1. The award would be for making outstanding contribution in the field of Health, Education, Sports, Social Service and Art & Culture in the last five year upto 31st December of last year.
2. The application for the award should be submitted every year by NGO's, Registered Societies, Trust or on the recommendation of a group of atleast some persons.
3. The recommendations can also be made by Departments/Government Institutions.

Offline

The award period will be the calendar year, i.e., from January 1 to December 31. Applications for the award can be made individually or by a non-governmental organization, registered society, trust, or a group of eleven people. Government departments or institutions can also recommend names. The last date for applying each year is January 31, and applications can be submitted to the Director, Women and Child Development, or the District Programme Officer. Applicants will receive an acknowledgment of their application.
Applications received by 31st January will be sent to the concerned Deputy Commissioner for their comments/recommendations. The report/recommendation will be sent to the Director, Women and Child Development, by 15th February. All applications will be uploaded on the department's website by 7th February, allowing the general public to provide suggestions to the department.
