Indira Gandhi National Disability Scheme (Ladakh)

The "Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension" Scheme under the National Social Assistance Programme has been implemented by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Ladakh, under which persons with severe or multiple disabilities aged 18 to 79 years belonging to the BPL category have been provided a monthly pension of ₹1,000/-, and the scheme has been centrally sponsored and jointly funded by the Central and State Governments.”

Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive a monthly pension of ₹1,000/-.

1. The applicant should be a resident of Ladakh.
2. The applicant should be a person with disabilities.
3. The applicant’s age should be between 18 and 79 years.
4. The applicant should belong to a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family.

Offline

Step 1:Collect the application form free of cost from the DSWO/TSWO office, fill it completely, and attach proof of age, income, status, and address.
Step 2:Submit the completed application to the concerned Tehsil Social Welfare Officer (TSWO) and obtain a proper receipt.
Step 3:The TSWO verifies and consolidates eligible applications and forwards them to the District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) for fund arrangement and sanction by the District Level Sanctioning Committee.

3. Identity proof i.e. Voter ID Card, Driving License
4. Disability certificate
5. Proof of age
6. Below Poverty Line (BPL) Card/ Ration Card
7. Caste certificate, if applicable
8. Address proof
9. Bank Passbook/Bank account details
10. Any other documents as required
