Young Scientist Program– M.P. Young Scientist Congress

The “Young Scientist Program – M.P. Young Scientist Congress” scheme has been launched by the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The scheme aims to identify, encourage, and promote young scientific talent in the state by providing young researchers, faculty members, and scientists of Madhya Pradesh with opportunities for research presentation, recognition, cash awards, training fellowships, and academic exposure.

Recognition Certificate

• Awarded to selected participants for their research work.

Cash Prize to Young Scientist Awardees

• ₹25,000, ₹20,000, ₹15,000
• The number of awards depends on the quality and quantity of papers in each subject group.

Training Fellowship

• Fellowship for training in any national institution under the council’s scheme.
• Must be availed within 2 years after receiving the award.

Travel Allowance Reimbursement

• Actual train fare limited to 3AC class or bus fare reimbursed.
• Reimbursement is subject to MPCST norms and submission of original tickets.

Accommodation Facility

• Free shared accommodation is provided to outstation participants.

Mode of Disbursement

• Cash prizes and reimbursements are paid directly by MPCST.

Frequency of Disbursement

• Annual, based on the organization of the Young Scientist Congress.

Expected Time of Disbursement

• After the completion of the Congress and the finalization of the results.

Validity

• Fellowship validity is 2 years from the date of award.

1. The applicant should be a research scholar, faculty member, or scientist working in Madhya Pradesh.
2. The applicant should not be more than 32 years of age for males and 35 years of age for females, as on 28 February 2026
3. The applicant should be associated with a university, college, or research institution located in Madhya Pradesh.
4. The applicant’s research work should be carried out within the State of Madhya Pradesh.
5. The applicant should submit a single-author research paper only.
6. The applicant should have 2 years of research experience after a postgraduate degree in the science disciplines.
7. The applicant from medical, veterinary, or engineering disciplines should have 2 years of research experience after a bachelor’s degree.
8. The applicant should submit a paper in any approved discipline, including: Agricultural Sciences, Anthropology and Behavioral Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Sciences, Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Home Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Sciences including AYUSH, New Biology (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Bioinformatics and Molecular Biology), Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Plant Sciences, Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry.

Registration

Step 1: The applicant should fill out the online application form available on www.mpysc.in or www.mpcost.gov.in
Step 2: The applicant should submit the online registration form before the date.
Step 3: Fill Biodata Details: Name, Gender, Name of Department, Name of Institute/University/College, Institute/University/College Address, City, PIN Code, Institute Contact Number (optional), Candidate Mobile Number & Email ID, Date of Birth, Research Experience Details, Accommodation Requirement etc.
Step 4: Upload a photograph and an abstract document.
Step 5: Submit & print the generated application format after submission.

Application Process

Step 1: After online submission, the applicant should email the PDF of the full-length paper to [email protected].
Step 2: The email subject should mention the discipline and unique ID.
Step 3: The applicant should send the printed application and enclosures to MPCST by 06 February 2026.
Step 4: The envelope should be superscribed with “41st MP Young Scientist Congress”, Discipline, and Unique ID.
