Vocational Training (Dalit Varg Vayevsaik Prashikshan Yojna)

The "Vocational Training (Dalit Varg Vyavsaik Prashikshan Yojna)", has been launched by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment through the HP Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation, Government of Himachal Pradesh, provides vocational training to SC/ST youth in traditional and non-traditional trades through ITIs, private institutions, and master craftsmen, with a training duration of up to 12 months.

Approved List of Trades:

1. Handloom Khadi – 12 months
2. Motor Driving – 6 months
3. Motor Mechanic / Auto Scooter Repair – 12 months
4. Shoe Making – 12 months
5. Electronics – 12 months
6. Plumber – 6 months
7. Electrician / Motor Binding – 12 months
8. Welding / Steel Fabrication / Black Smith – 6 months
9. Pruning & Orchard Operation – 12 months
10. Carpentry – 12 months
11. Foam Making – 6 months
12. Beautician – 6 months
13. Bamboo Work – 6 months
14. Barber – 6 months
15. Cutting / Tailoring – 12 months
16. Computer – 12 months

• Vocational training is provided for a duration of up to 12 months.
• A stipend of ₹500/- per month is given if the training is undertaken in the home district.
• A stipend of ₹750/- per month is provided if the training is undertaken outside the home district.

• The applicant should be a member of a Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes family.
• The applicant should be a bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh.
• The applicant should have an annual family income not exceeding ₹22,000/- per annum.
• The applicant should be between 18 and 35 years of age.

Offline

Step 1: Obtain and fill the prescribed application form and attach all required documents.
Step 2: Submit the completed application to the concerned District Manager or Corporation office for verification.
Step 3: After approval, the application is forwarded to the HP SC/ST Development Corporation for further processing.
