Vigyan Manthan Yatra

The “Vigyan Manthan Yatra” scheme has been launched by the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science & Technology, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The scheme aims to nurture scientific temperament and identify meritorious science talent among school students of Madhya Pradesh by providing selected students and accompanying science teachers with educational exposure visits to national and international laboratories, interactions with eminent scientists, and scholarship opportunities.

Educational Exposure Visit:

• Visit laboratories and institutions of national and international repute.

Scholarship Opportunity:

• 60 selected students will receive scholarships under the Mission Excellence Programme from the next academic session.

Academic Interaction:

• Direct interaction with eminent scientists and research professionals.

Teacher Capacity Building:

• Selection of 25 to 33 science teachers to accompany and mentor students.

Eligibility for Students

1. The applicant should be a student.
2. The applicant should be a domicile of Madhya Pradesh.
3. The applicant should be studying in class 10th, 11th, or 12th.1. The applicant should be a science stream student in class 11th and 12th.1. The applicant should have obtained 75% or more marks in the previous examination.
4. The applicant belonging to the SC, ST, OBC, or specially abled category is eligible to apply.
5. The applicant with 40% or more disability will be considered under the specially abled category.
6. The applicant selected under the Vigyan Manthan Yatra Scholarship in previous years is not eligible.

Eligibility for Teachers

1. The applicant should be a school science teacher.
2. The applicant should be a graduate or postgraduate in a science discipline.

Application Process for the Student:

Step 1: The applicant should visit the official MP Mission Excellence Portal at www.mpmissionexcellence.org or www.mpcost.gov.in.
Step 2: The applicant should fill out the online "Student Form" application form in English only.
Step 3: The applicant should upload all required documents in the prescribed format.
Step 4: The applicant should take a printout of the submitted form.

Selection Process:

• Applications are scrutinized and shortlisted on a merit basis.
• Selected candidates must complete registration confirmation with travel details.

Instructions for the Student:

• The applicant should apply online only, in the English language.
• The applicant should upload a marksheet and all documents verified and attested by the school principal.
• Selected students and teachers must confirm registration with travel tickets within the stipulated time.

Application Process for the Teacher:

Step 2: The applicant should fill out the online "Teacher Form" application form in English only.
Step 3: The applicant should upload all required documents in the prescribed format.
Step 4: The applicant should take a printout of the submitted form.

Instructions for the Teacher:

• The applicant should submit an online application with NOC verified by the school principal.
• The applicant should bear travel expenses from residence to Bhopal independently.
