Hast Shilp Vikas Yojna

The Hast Shilp Vikas Yojana is a scheme implemented under the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of Himachal Pradesh, through the Himachal Pradesh Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation. Under this scheme, the Corporation provides working capital assistance to artisans. Artisans may avail of this assistance either individually or by forming a group, society, or association. The assistance is interest-free for a period of two years. However, a society, association, or group may charge interest at the rate of 2% from the artisan to meet its administrative expenses.

Financial Support: Provides a loan of ₹15,000 per artisan to support their craft and livelihood.
Low-Cost Financing: Interest-free for 2 years, with only a minimal 2% administrative charge if routed through a society/group.
Flexible Repayment: Loan repayment period of 2 years, making it easier for artisans to manage finances.

1. The applicant should be a member of a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe family.
2. The applicant should be a bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh.
3. The applicant should belong to a below poverty line (BPL) family.
4. The applicant should not be a defaulter of any financial institution or bank.
5. The applicant’s annual family income should not exceed ₹35,000/- per annum in both rural and urban areas.

Offline

Step 1: Obtain and fill the prescribed application form and attach all required documents.
Step 2: Submit the completed application to the concerned District Manager or Corporation office for verification.
Step 3: After approval, the application is forwarded to the HP SC/ST Development Corporation for further processing.
