Golden Jubilee Merit Awards

The scheme “Golden Jubilee Merit Awards” by the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, aims to encourage and recognise academic excellence among students who have passed Class XII and qualified through National Level Entrance Examinations. Through this scheme, financial assistance is provided to eligible Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe students who have completed Class 12 from any institution in India or abroad, as well as to non-APST students who have passed Class 12 from institutions located within Arunachal Pradesh, provided they are selected and admitted through national entrance examinations.
The scheme covers students securing admission to premier institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Management, All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, and National Law Universities. The scheme is implemented by the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education. Financial assistance is granted as a merit-based recognition and is subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions and submission of a duly filled application within the prescribed time.

1. One-time merit-based financial award to eligible students who are completing Class 12 Board Examination from schools of Arunachal Pradesh or qualifying National Level Entrance Examinations and securing admissions to IITs, IIMs, AIIMs, and NLUs. 1. The amount of the award varies depending on the level of examination and position secured, as prescribed in the official guidelines.
2. The award is granted once for the qualifying examination concerned.

• The applicant should be a bona fide Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) student, or an eligible non-APST student as specified below.
• The applicant should have passed Class 12 from a recognised school or higher education institution.
• The applicant who is an APST student may have passed Class 12 from any institution in India or abroad.- The applicant who is not an APST student should have passed Class 12 from an institution located within Arunachal Pradesh.- The applicant should have cleared a National Level Entrance Examination.
• The applicant should have been selected and admitted through the entrance examination process.
• The applicant should have secured admission to Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Management, All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, or National Law Universities.- The applicant should submit a duly filled application form within the prescribed time along with the requisite documents.

Step 1: Download the prescribed application form from the official website of the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education at https://apdhte.nic.in/Stipend/Golden_Jubilee/Application_Form.pdf .
Step 2: Fill in the application form completely and attach all required documents as mentioned in the guidelines and application form.
Step 3: Submit the completed application offline to the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education (DHTE), Government of Arunachal Pradesh, within the prescribed time limit.
Step 4: The application will be scrutinised by the competent authority, and the merit award will be granted after verification of records.
