योजना के बारे में
The “Seminar/Symposia/Workshop Scheme” has been implemented by the Research and Development Group, M.P. Council of Science & Technology (MPCST), Government of Madhya Pradesh. The scheme aims to promote scientific temper, knowledge exchange, and skill development by providing financial grant-in-aid support to eligible institutions for organizing seminars, symposia, workshops, training programmes, and short-term courses.
Objectives of the Seminar/symposium/workshop
SYMPOSIA: A symposium focuses on in-depth discussion of a single significant topic by subject specialists, with around 30 participants presenting prepared research papers. Abstracts are shared in advance to avoid duplication and ensure meaningful discussion. The programme usually lasts two to three days.
SEMINARS: A seminar familiarizes planners and researchers with the latest developments in a specific field through expert lectures and paper presentations. It promotes exchange of ideas, new research methods, and emerging techniques. The programme typically lasts four to five days with about 30 participants and prior circulation of abstracts.
WORKSHOPS: Workshops are short-term programmes that enhance professional competence and practical skills through expert-led training, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. They focus on recent methods and techniques, typically involving 20–30 participants. The duration generally does not exceed two weeks and relies mainly on internal resources.
SHORT TERM COURSE/ SUMMER/WINTER/INSTITUTES: Specialized programmes offering lectures, laboratory, field, or project work in areas where the institution has established expertise. About 20 participants engage in intensive learning, consultations, and project planning over a duration of 5 to 10 days.
