Fertigation, Foliar Fertilization and Automation

The "Fertigation, Foliar Fertilization and Automation" scheme is implemented by the Horticulture Department, Government of Rajasthan. The scheme aims to promote efficient nutrient management and irrigation automation by providing a 75% subsidy on department-approved fertilizers, chemicals, and automation units to eligible farmers. It encourages the adoption of fertigation, foliar fertilization, and automation technologies in high-tech horticulture, protected cultivation, and open-field cultivation. The scheme helps improve fertilizer-use efficiency, water-use efficiency, crop productivity, crop quality, and reduces manual intervention through automated irrigation systems.

Fertigation Support:

• Subsidy: 75% subsidy on department-approved water-soluble fertilizers and liquid fertilizers supplied under the project.

  Foliar Fertilization Support:

• Subsidy: 75% subsidy on department-approved fertilizers and chemicals for recommended crops.

  Automation Support:

• Subsidy: 75% subsidy on approved micro-irrigation automation units.

  Improved Nutrient Management:

• Nutrients are supplied directly to the crop root zone through the drip irrigation system.

Better Crop Productivity:

• Improves crop yield and crop quality through efficient nutrient application.

Water Efficiency:

• Ensures efficient utilization of available irrigation water.

Labour Saving:

• Automation reduces the manual operation of irrigation and fertigation.

Accurate Irrigation:

• Delivers water and nutrients in the required quantity at the required time.

1. The applicant must be a farmer.
2. The farmer should have land ownership/ land lease (minimum 10 years and registered at competent level).
3. Drip irrigation plant should be installed at the farmer's place. In cases of foliar fertilization, micro/mini sprinkler or fountain irrigation plant should be installed.
4. The farmer should have permanent means of irrigation.
5. The farmer should be growing vegetables/ flowers/ fruit gardens/ other crops on drip plant under hi-tech horticulture.
6. The farmer should agree to adopt the fertigation schedule as per the departmental instructions and recommendations under the project.
7. The subsidy for fertigation/foliar fertilization will be payable only on the recommended crops.
8. The subsidy on micro irrigation automation will be payable in both cases of protected cultivation and open cultivation.

Step 3: Complete the online application form for the scheme.
Step 4: Upload the required supporting documents.
Step 5: Submit the application online.
Step 6: The competent committee will verify the site suitability and documents.
Step 7: After approval, the beneficiary may undertake construction according to prescribed standards.
Step 8: Physical verification will be conducted after completion of the work.
Step 9: Eligible subsidy will be released through DBT as per the prescribed installment pattern.
