Electrification of Wells and Electric Pumpset Distribution Scheme

The "Electrification of Wells and Electric Pumpset Distribution Scheme" by the Tribal Area Development Department, Government of Rajasthan, aims to support Scheduled Tribe farmers by providing subsidies for electric connections and pumpsets to the eligible tribal families. This initiative helps farmers secure reliable irrigation sources for their private agricultural lands.

• The applicant must be a farmer
• The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Tribe category.
• The applicant must own agricultural land in his or her own name.
• The applicant must have been cultivating the land for at least 3 years.
• The applicant must have a functional water source for irrigation; such as well, river, stream, or pond.
• The applicant seeking electricity connection must submit Demand Note issued by concerned Electricity Distribution Company Limited.
• The applicant applying for electric pump set must have electrified well; or must have submitted Demand Note for electrification.

Offline

• For the irrigation facilities to be provided under the scheme as above, farmers can apply in the prescribed form (those farmers who want an electricity connection on their wells can apply in the concerned Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. office and get the demand note along with the demand for other irrigation facilities) in the following offices:-

  1. In the Scheduled Area, the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Tribal Area Development Department/ Panchayat Samiti/ Gram Panchayat
  2. In the Non-Scheduled Area - District Council/ Panchayat Samiti/ Gram Panchayat.
