Two years, 13 cities, one demand: Congress takes Haryana govt to account
Two years into the BJP's third term in Haryana, the Congress launched a statewide offensive on Wednesday, holding simultaneous press conferences in 13 cities to demand an account of the government's record. Leaders including Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Kumari Selja and Deepender Hooda are leading the charge. The party is focusing on prices, unemployment, law and order, farmers and women.
Diwali 2026: ST Scraps 15% Fare Hike; Pratap Sarnaik Puts Public Interest First
Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik has rejected a proposed 15% seasonal fare hike on ST buses for the Diwali rush from November 1 to 15. He said ordinary passengers, already hit by drought and inflation, should not bear the ST Corporation's losses.
