Maharashtra Becomes the First State to Utilize the State-of-the-Art Weather Forecasting System ‘Bharat Forecast System’ – Minister Girish Mahajan

Maharashtra has become the first state to use the Bharat Forecast System, giving forecasts on 6 km by 6 km grids down to gram panchayat level. Updates every three hours will support district disaster preparedness under a State Disaster Management Authority pact with IITM Pune.
