Shares of Equitas Small Finance Bank fell about 15-16% on Friday, extending Thursday's 20% slide, after MD and CEO PN Vasudevan resigned with immediate effect, citing a perceived conflict of interest involving an NBFC co-promoted by his daughter that has received an RBI licence. Vasudevan, who will stay until a successor takes over, said the decision was not taken overnight and that the board has begun the search.
