Operating Ashram Hostel

Started in 2002, the scheme "Operating Ashram Hostel" implemented by the Tribal Area Development Department, Government of Rajasthan, aims to support tribal students in continuing their education by providing residential hostel facilities near educational institutions. It helps students from economically weaker families who are unable to access distant schools due to financial and location constraints.

• Tribal students who do not have a primary, secondary, or higher secondary school within 1.5 km, 3 k.m., and 5 k.m of their residence.
• The students must be natives of Rajasthan.
• The student must be a resident of the same district for which the hostel application has been submitted.
• Parents and guardians should not be income tax payers.
• The family should not own more than 400 square yards of urban land.
• Agricultural land should not exceed 15 bighas or 3.76 hectares.

Note:

• All new applicants will be admitted on the basis of merit.
• Admission will be granted to tribal students of the specific area for hostels related to various tribal regions.
• Students currently studying in Ashram hostels will be granted admission for the following year only upon passing.

• Applicant can apply online by visiting the nearest e-Mitra kiosk or directly from own e-Mitra account.
