INDIRAMMA Disabled Pension (Urban)

Launched in 2006-07, the scheme "INDIRAMMA Disabled Pension (Urban)" by the Department of Rural Development, Government of Andhra Pradesh, aims to provide financial assistance to persons with disabilities of 40% or above who are 18 years of age or above. To be eligible, they should be from a BPL family, be a resident of a district of Andhra Pradesh, and not be covered under any other Pension Scheme. The eligible individuals will be identified by their respective Ward Sabhas. The Bill Collector disburses the pension to the eligible individuals on the first date of every month.

Step 3: Disbursement of Pensions
The Project Director (DRDA) sends pension acquittance list and funds to Municipal Commissioners. The Municipal Commissioner issues cheques to Bill Collectors. The Bill Collector disburses pensions to pensioners in the presence of Ward members and DWCUA office bearers.
