Financial Assistance For Persons With Special Needs

Financial Assistance for Persons with Special Needs (Disability Pension) is the welfare schemes of Delhi Govt of NCTD to provide assistance to Disabled Person.

1. To persons with minimum 40% disability irrespective of age (i.e. from birth until death)
2. Residence of min. 5 years in Delhi before the date of application (any document as listed for Old Age Pension)
3. Annual family income of less than Rs 1,00,000 from all sources (including rent, interest/dividends on savings & investments, earnings from farm, property sale proceeds etc.) of the applicant. "Family" means "wife/husband, minor children, disabled children, unmarried, or divorced/separated daughters/sisters, parents who are solely dependent on the applicant".
4. Aadhaar number is mandatory for applying
5. Must not be receiving any pension/ financial assistance from Central Govt/ State Govt/ other governmental local bodies or any other source for this .purpose

For applying, self-attested documentary proof for the following needs to be scanned and uploaded.

1. Age proof (any document as listed for Old Age Pension)
2. Residence proof
3. Bank a/c number (Single a/c). This provision may be relaxed in the case of minors who can have bank acount under guardianship.
4. Disability Certificate issued by a Govt. Hospital as per norms.
5. One passport-size photo of the applicant
6. Income self-declaration (format given on the portal can be used.

Application to be made online on e-District portal www.edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in

Minors can also apply for Disability Pension. There is additional procedure in case of Disability Assistance where Financial Assistance is to be applied for minor / child below 18 years. This process has to be completed first before the application form can be filled for the minor.

No, the scheme is only for the residents of Delhi, residing from last 5 years. In case of minor, proof of residence of the parent is to be considered.
